Forming lives that transform culture.

Born out a prayer meeting that continues to this day, Hilltop is a multicultural church of students, professionals, and families that is rooted in the Word of God, passionate in worship, and devoted to prayer. We are committed to raising up people who follow the way of Jesus and carry out the mission of Jesus.

Our vision is to see students, professionals, and families come alive in their walk with God, to touch the needs of the community around us, and to prepare every person who walks through our doors to go share Christ to the ends of the earth.

Worship Moment

How Great Is Our God
feat. Kirissa Bourne

Values

  • A man in a dark suit with a blue tie is smiling and raising his right fist. He is sitting in a row of red theater seats, with other people around him, some with their hands raised, in an indoor setting that appears to be a conference or event.

    Worship

Worship is our chance to exalt God, and to experience His tangible presence. We place a high value on worship because God is worthy of our full expression.

  • A man speaking on stage with a blue background featuring a river and landscape, wearing a blue jacket and a headset microphone.

    Word

The Word of God is sacred to us, and stands above culture, philosophies, and man-made ideas. We strive to let the word of God search us, rather than reading into it our own ideas and interpretations.

    Statement of Faith >

  • A group of fifteen friends gathered in a living room, sitting on the floor and chairs, smiling for a group selfie. The room has bookshelves, a lamp, and string lights, with a table in the middle holding paper plates, cups, and food.

    Community

Relationship is the context where transformation takes place over time. We were never meant to be lone rangers: we believe that loving each other and growing in relationship is fundamental to a healthy walk with God.

Community Groups are the center of where small group fellowship, discipleship, and intentional study of the Bible happen throughout the week. Our groups are exclusively for those who attend Hilltop as their home church, as their main purpose is to disciple Hilltop members. We have mostly in person groups and a few Zoom options.

Ministries

  • A person wearing a gray beanie and green shirt, resting their head on their hand with a black watch, in a contemplative pose.

    Prayer

Hilltop was born out of a prayer meeting that began in 2006, and has only gotten stronger. We are praying that God would fill us anew with the Holy Spirit, revive Boston, and raise up another global student volunteer missions movement out of the campuses of the Northeast.

Today, the rhythm of prayer and intercession continues in every community group throughout Hilltop, with believers breaking bread, studying the Word, and living out a lifestyle of prayer together in homes, apartments, and meeting spaces all across Boston.

We also regularly activate our church to church-wide prayer & worship events, as well as 3-day fasting and prayer intensives every quarter.

  • Children sitting at a table, engaged in an activity, with a girl in an orange dress writing, and others smiling and playing, in a brightly lit room with red walls and windows.

    Children

It is our great joy and privilege to serve our children. We have a talented, caring, Jesus loving and fun loving team who teach our kids. Our weekly program is built around the The Gospel Project children’s curriculum that walks through the Bible Genesis to Revelation and looks to find the Christ connection in every chapter and page of the Bible. Our goal is that our children would encounter Christ, learn sound doctrine, be filled with the Holy Spirit and transformed by the power of the gospel from their earliest years.

We have programs for children ages 1-12 during the message at the 11am Sunday service.

  • Group of people gathered outdoors in a circle around a table on a brick-paved area, with some participants sitting and others standing, engaged in an activity or discussion, with food and drinks on the table, lush greenery, and trees in the background.

    Youth

Our mission is to help youth grow in their love for God, build godly friendships, and discover His purpose for their lives (Jeremiah 29:11). Our services are dynamic and engaging, featuring praise and worship, prayer, interactive lessons, skits, videos, games, small- and large- group discussions led by our dedicated youth leaders.

Youth services are held Sundays from 11:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. on the first three Sundays of each month; on the fourth Sunday, students join the main service to support spiritual growth and a smooth transition into adulthood

  • A diverse group of eight people gathered around a rustic wooden table enjoying conversation and drinks in a cozy, rustic indoor setting with a brick wall background.

    Alpha

Alpha is an introductory course about Christianity that is designed for anyone exploring faith. It is designed to be an open, safe space to ask questions about God and life, both easy and hard, and it is centered around discussion, not just providing the "right" answer to everything. We don't hold any expectation of any particular outcome at the end of the course, and it is not expected that you would join our church.

We have a meal together (food is provided), and then watch a short Alpha film, followed by open discussion. To join Alpha, click here.

  • People sitting in a row, some taking notes and reading.

    Bible Studies

We have a number of different Bible studies to be part of, both online and in-person. These groups are for committed members of Hilltop.

Depending on the time of year and the groups available at that time, you will be able to join an inductive Bible study, book studies, or a discipleship course.

  • A smiling woman with her hair in a bun holding a young child, next to a smiling man in a plaid shirt, all standing against a white background with gold geometric lines.

    Couples

We provide ministry to couples through building intentional relationships where we can get to know each other, ask the hard questions that will help us truly grow, and learn how to walk out marriage God’s way.

We have periodic pop-up events to help foster these relationships - click here to sign up.
