That Boston shall be as
A city set upon a hill
John Winthrop, 1630
You are the light of the world
A city set upon a hilltop that cannot be hidden
Hilltop Church was born out of a prayer meeting that began in 2006. For the past seven years we have been praying for another Great Awakening to sweep Boston, New England, and the college campuses of the North East. We continue to pray until…
God will not do what He has entrusted to man to do. While we pray for historical revival that only the Spirit of God can bring He has entrusted to us the responsibility and privilege of discipleship.
The Son of Man came to seek and save that which was lost. God is passionate about people and He is passionate about redemption. Evangelism and compassion is one of the simplest ways that we can convey and reveal the heart of God.
All throughout scripture the church is likened to salt, light and even leaven. We are called to be an influencing, pervasive and prevailing agent in society. To that end, we desire to be a voice in culture and we see activism in issues of injustice as a mandate from God.
At Hilltop Boston, we believe that children are the sign we are a community that is alive. Far from simple childcare, we strive to offer child training from the earliest stages of life into their teenage years. We believe that God calls every person to fulfill their role in the Kingdom regardless of their age. For this reason, we at Hilltop Kids and Youth are invested in teaching and training up the young ones to become their generation’s teachers, pastors, evangelists, prophets and apostles. We believe their time is now, and that God is rising their generation as the young Joshua’s and Samuel’s of our time. As those who seek God’s face, behold the beauty of His Son Jesus, and hold fast to the Word of God, our children will bear much fruit in their homes, schools, communities, and where ever they go. Through them we believe Boston is to be a city on the hill that cannot be hidden.
